Writer's picture: Giovanni DelfinoGiovanni Delfino

The past Monday, March 09th 2015, the DCCF participaded to lobby in support of the Purple Line, in Annapolis. We had the pleasure to find strong support from more than 700 constituents, along with delegates, senators, executives, and majors from Montgomery county, Baltimore city, Prince George county, and other Maryland areas.

As President and CEO of DCCF, I have to personally thank all our community leaders who are constantly supporting the Purple Line, and working to make it possible. But I would like to specially thank in behalf of our members, to Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett, Maryland State Delegate Jim Gilchrist, Maryland State Delegate Andrew Platt, and Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, who are standing together in support of the Purple Line, to benefit all our residents, our economy, and the environment.

To make sure this project moves forward, we have to keep working with our community leaders. The Purple Line is a sustainable transportation project that will bring great benefits to the state of Maryland and their residents.
